Syrian-born, Dubai-based designer Zena Presley has made her debut in Saudi Arabia with the launch of her eponymous Spring 2016 collection exclusively at Cream boutique in Jeddah. The designer is known for her use of vivid patterns and prints featuring commissioned artwork that are showcased across her signature silhouettes of tailored separates—think wearable art with a contemporary aesthetic.
Following up to her debut collection, which was launched exclusively at Harvey Nichols in Dubai, the designer has explored the works of three Arab expressionist artists: Saad Yagan and Bahram Hajou from Syria, and Egyptian artist Wael Darwish. The 25-piece line, which was presented on the catwalk during Fashion Forward season 6, features a range of off-the-shoulder tops in solid, primary colors of blue, red, and yellow; graphic print pencil and flared skirts; and the hero piece from the collection—an off-the-shoulder printed shift featuring a pink bodice.
While the Zena Presley collection is available online, the launch at Cream boutique marks the designer’s third distribution point in the region, after Nass boutique in Kuwait and Blush Boutique in Bahrain. Explore the collection in the gallery above, which arrives just in time for the third edition of the “21-39” Jeddah Arts.
