Fashion History 101

As the only Condé Nast fashion media in the Middle East, Style.com/Arabia can share a sneak peek gallery of archived Vogue magazine images, some dating back to nearly a century ago. The above selection, a preview of the free exhibition, features iconic images of Yasmin Le Bon shot by photographer Patrick Demarchelier from the late 80s; a 1919 Vogue cover illustration by the late American artist Helen Dryden—who had a 13-year collaboration with Vogue and was once the highest-paid female artist in the United States; and a 1937 picture of Mademoiselle Coco Chanel shot by renowned Vogue collaborator Sir Cecil Beaton.

The exhibition is currently on display at the Level Shoe District at the Dubai Mall and will run until mid-April.
