Video: Watch the Trailer for Chanel’s New Film “Once and Forever” Ahead of the Métiers d’Art Show

The fashion set will fly to Rome for Chanel’s 12th Métiers d’Art show, which is scheduled to take place at the Cinecittà cinema complex on December 1st. The city’s iconic movie theater will play host to the French label’s Pre-Fall 2016 collection presentation as well as the screening of Karl Lagerfeld’s latest film, Once and Forever.

Ahead of the film’s debut, Chanel has released a trailer which features Kristen Stewart and Géraldine Chaplin on a bustling film set, preparing to play the role of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. Each actress portrays a different period of the iconic designer’s life. For Stewart’s first acting role for Lagerfeld, she portrays a demanding and difficult young actress who doesn’t get along with the film crew. Meanwhile, Chaplin portrays the luxury label’s founder for the fourth time; she previously starred in Lagerfeld’s The Return and Reincarnation .

The Métiers d’Art show honors the works of the numerous ateliers acquired by Chanel since 1985. In an attempt to keep specific forms of artistry alive, each atelier specializes in a niche field, ranging from embroidery, to lace making, and feather work. Every year, since 2003, the Métiers d’Art show travels to far-flung cities around the world such as Mumbai, Shanghai, Dallas, and Salzburg, to celebrate the artisanal mastery of fine craftsmanship.
