After a previous stint as a Guest Editor at Glamour US in 2012, Victoria Beckham is making her editorial comeback, this time at the helm of Vogue Paris’ December Christmas special issue.
“Being asked to be the Guest Editor of the Christmas issue of Vogue Paris this year was an incredible honor. Working with Emmanuelle Alt and her team was both exciting and inspiring and I am so proud of what we have created,” Beckham said in an official statement.
Needless to say, both she and her husband, David Beckham, are on the cover. Shot by Inez Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the Beckham couple is as enamored as ever, while the inside features reveal more highlights from the family album, including family pictures, Christmas memories, personal anecdotes, and even some of Victoria’s children’s drawings.
“We entrusted the editor’s chair for this issue to a woman who revealed herself to be the absolute opposite of her public image while we were working together. Spontaneous and full of humor, she’s modest, with a healthy dose of ambition. And like all those who are truly passionate about what they do, Victoria is a perfectionist,” noted Emmanuelle Alt, Editor in Chief of Vogue Paris.
The December issue also analyzes Beckham’s career evolution, from being the Spice Girls’ Posh Spice back in the 90s to building a ready-to-wear empire. Further exclusive features include backstage reports of her Spring 2014 ready-to-wear show in New York and fashion talks with reputed designers and artists, including Valentino Garavani, Marc Jacobs, and Anish Kapoor.
