Victoria Beckham’s “Reverse Auction” for The Outnet

Following the recent news of Victoria Beckham’s collaboration with TheOutnet.com in support of the charity foundation mothers2mothers, the British fashion designer is spicing things up with an additional “reverse auction.”

Including 10 of Beckham’s most prized pieces selected from her highly sought after wardrobe, the “Going, Going, Gone” reverse auction will start on the morning of August 20th and run for five days. Two items will be up for sale each day at 9:30am and 3:30pm British Summer Time (11:30am KSA / 12:30pm UAE and 5:30pm KSA / 6:30pm UAE, respectively). Every article will have a starting and reserve price, and over a period of six hours, the starting price will decrease by a set amount every five minutes before it reaches its end price—unless the item is sold before the end of the sixth hour.

To make things more official, renowned auction house Christie’s was asked to send a team of experts to appraise the value of the items being listed in the charity sale. Christie’s Director Pat Frost commented: “We’re sure Victoria’s fans will want to take the opportunity to acquire unique pieces which have been worn and loved by Victoria Beckham, while supporting an excellent cause at the same time.”

Items for sale in the auction include a stage costume from a Spice Girls tour, a fluorescent yellow draped chiffon Cavalli gown worn at the Beckhams’ 2006 pre-World Cup party, and more. Prices begin at 200 GBP (AED/SAR 1,235) and upwards.

Here, Style.com/Arabia brings you some exclusive images of the special pieces and their order in the reverse auction. Happy hunting!
