Last night, more than 600 of Dubai’s beauty set were treated to an evening of glossy hair and runway fashion, courtesy of the Tresemmé Fashion Night held at the Madinat Arena. Before the show, guests mingled and chatted as they anticipated a performance by Lebanese songbird Maya Diab. Among the famous faces that we spotted were Najwa Karam, Latifa, Aline Watfa, and Assala Nasri (to name a few), who all cozied up to Nicolas Jebran, the Lebanese fashion designer, whose clothes would later grace the runway.
Jebran has gained a loyal following among music’s A-list with his whimsical creations. His designs have also captured the attention of international high-profile clients, including Madonna, Rita Ora, Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue, and Lady Gaga.
As the doors opened, guests made their way through a series of live installations by Wassim Morkos, hairstylist to the stars. The models, sporting a variety of coifs and posing in character under the spotlight, almost looked like mannequins. As the runway show got underway, the couture-clad models made their way out of an elaborate set (which looked like a pink dollhouse) with crowns atop their heads. The hair was left long and straight and, of course, had an impossibly glossy mirror-like-shine to echo the fairytale feeling of the evening.
