Saudi designer Razan Alazzouni launched her latest “Threads by Razan Alazzouni” capsule collection during a two-day trunk show at Bayt Al Sadu, Kuwait. The collection includes three new kaftan designs adorned with three different necklace embellishments, including rubies. There are 500 one-off kaftan pieces in the collection; and for every kaftan sold, one gets donated to charity.
At the trunk show, hosted by PLTQ8, Alazzouni revealed her baroque-inspired Fall 2015 jewelry collection, “This is the first time we’ve introduced ear cuffs and mix-and-match earrings that are sold separately,” the designer told Style.com/Arabia. “The jewelry collection is meant to be light to serve as an accent to our Fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection which features heavy textures like wool, and—also a first—fur.”
Alazzouni spoke about the brand’s bottle collaboration with Coca-Cola Light’s Love Life campaign. “We’ve designed a bottle that represents our ideas of “Love Life.” You’ll find the brand’s signature embroidery on the bottle, sketched in a way to illustrate the steps that it takes to embroider a flower motif onto our clothing,” she explained. “Each side of the bottle represents the layers of threads and it’s also our idea of Love Life; it’s very organic.”
