Following the success of her previous editions in Dubai, Founder, Thoraya Al Awadhi, has announced preparations for the “15th Women’s Exhibition”, to be hosted for the first time at the Dubai World Trade Center, from October 31st to November 3rd.
According to Al Awadhi, who is also a board member of the Emirates Business Women Council, the Women’s Exhibition aims to boost women entrepreneurship in the UAE, while introducing various business opportunities, mostly related to jewelry, fashion, cosmetics, and travel, but also to financial services, health care, and medical supplies.
“The Women’s Exhibition is a platform that helps women come together and showcase their products and services from the region and abroad, as well as create strong business networks. Some women who participated even improved their sales and opened their own shops afterwards,” explained Al Awadhi in a conversation with Style.com/Arabia. “It’s about women empowerment. A woman can even start a business from her own house—she doesn’t need to give up her responsibilities.”
As for the choice of venue, Al Awadhi explained, “We have reciprocated our commitment to our exhibitors by opting for a bigger venue in a strategic location, with more support that helps them grow their business. I’m actually the first Emirati woman to do an exhibition in the World Trade Center—you need to have the guts for that.”
This year’s Women’s Exhibition will introduce over 100 exhibitors, including international and regional brands such as Al Zaytoun Jewelry, Harklinikken, Glam Confidential, and Bioderma. The booking of an exhibition stand can be requested on the company’s website.
