“Eccentric” is one way of describing the Thom Browne Spring 2016 ready-to-wear show but that would be a menial grouping of just about everything the American designer does. Browne’s presentations favor over-the-top theatrics but if you get past the face paint and those electrocuted pigtail braids, you’ll see that this collection features beautifully tailored suits and outerwear with dreamy Japanese landscapes in all shades of gray—his go-to color—and soft pastels.
