Bahraini beauty Sheikha Dana Al Khalifa, the woman behind the blog, The Overdressed, is staying in the spotlight. Following hosting a selection of regional and international accessories designers last November at the Jewellery Arabia exhibition and celebrating her blog’s five-year anniversary in December, she is starting 2015 with a bang. The brunette graces the cover of this month’s Hia magazine—making her the first blogger to ever appear on the cover of the luxury lifestyle magazine.
Inside the accompanying interview, the Arab world’s first Louis Vuitton ambassador discusses the various doors the world of fashion has opened for her—and in this case literally, as the storied Maison recently opened the doors of its Asnières family home for the occasion of the Hia story. In the interview, Sheikha Al Khalifa recounts the role her grandparents played in her life—particularly her grandfather, who was a lover of both nature and fashion.
The blogger recently staged a shoot on her grandfather’s palm tree garden for the occasion of the blog’s fifth birthday in “overdressed” Bahrani regalia, including her aunts’ vintage gold pieces consisting of a stunning gold headpiece and necklace that fell to the waist.
