Last season, we all became acutely aware that cropped tops were the “it” item to sport. Often paired with high-wasted shorts, pants, and skirts, the crop top made its mark and yet again became a commercialized trend that everyone wanted to wear.

Fashion blogger, global entrepreneur, and Style.com contributor, Leandra Medine, the face and witty brain behind her blog, The Man Repeller, recently wore a crop top by Saudi designer, Reem Al Kanhal. Medine made the crop top look new and exciting alongside a Steven Alan shirt tied at the waist and shorts. Speaking with Style.com/Arabia, Al Kanhal stated, “The Man Repeller is one of my favorite bloggers; I love her style. She brings life to a piece and has a great spirit and special kind of beauty that’s really rare these days.”

Al Kanhal put her creativity to the test designing a crop top featuring less exposure and added excitement by adding a volumninous orange fringe. Having given Style.com/Arabia an exclusive review of the lookbook pictures for the collection, Window to the Soul, the designer had explained that the collection “invites us to explore traditional Saudi dress with a twist,” and that the hand-stitched orange yarn “takes us back to the embellishments added to the interior of (Bedouin) tends.”
