The Best Fashion Campaigns for Fall 2014

It’s that time of year when designers choose their muses to front their brands—and, in some cases, stir controversy. From Gisele’s masculine look for Balenciaga to Winona’s embodiment of effortless chic for Rag & Bone, Style.com/Arabia rounds up the best campaigns of the Fall 2014 season.

BALENCIAGA
Known for her trademark tan and luscious locks, Gisele Bündchen takes the stand for this season’s Balenciaga campaign, photographed by Steven Klein. Sporting an androgynous hairstyle, Bündchen showcases a seemingly half-shaven head. It’s all smoke and mirrors, though—the Brazilian beauty is already back to her signature tousled beach hair.

GIVENCHY
2014 has been quite the year for celebrity mogul-turned-model, Kendall Jenner. Considering the close friendship that the Kardashians share with designer Riccardo Tisci, it comes as no surprise that 18-year-old Kendall is a new face for Givenchy’s Fall 2014 campaign (which, notably, also includes Stephanie Seymour’s son, Peter Brant).

RAG & BONE
In the past, Hollywood actress Winona Ryder has courted her fair share of controversy, but as the current face of Rag & Bone, Ryder exemplifies the raw yet mysterious beauty that the brand likes to capture in its seasonal campaigns.

MIU MIU
Following in the footsteps of Hollywood actresses Elizabeth Olsen and Lupita Nygong’o, French-English actress Stacy Martin is the new face of Miu Miu’s Fall campaign. The monochromatic ad, shot by photography legend Steven Meisel, showcases a 1960s, Andy Warhol-inspired version of the actress.

PRADA
Yet another success from Steven Meisel: the famed photographer features the binary opposition of the concrete architecture with signature Prada prints in the brand’s Fall 2014 campaign. The gray backdrop, which reinforces the geometrical designs of Prada’s collection, comes courtesy of Bedford Hills, New York.

DOLCE & GABBANA
The (continuous) rebirth of ‘90s supermodels is seen in Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2014 campaign and stars Claudia Schiffer. The 43-year-old blonde bombshell owns the camera in the medieval-inspired campaign.

LOUIS VUITTON
The most anxiously awaited campaign for Fall 2014 came from Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton. With the help of three renowned photographers—Bruce Weber, Juergen Teller, and Annie Leibovitz—the campaign brought Vuitton’s classic beauty to life.

MOSCHINO
Moschino hit headlines with its Fall 2014 runway show, causing a controversial debate, to say the least. With Jeremy Scott’s daring outlook on the 21st century junk culture, the creative director toned down the madness of his Fall collection for the new campaign. Still embracing the brashness of his fast food inspiration, model Carolyn Murphy brings a subtle yet classic charm to the collection, highlighted by old-fashioned style photography.

LONGCHAMP
Style icon and model Alexa Chung puts her beauty to the test in Longchamp’s latest campaign and doesn’t disappoint. With the assistance of a Jack Russell puppy, Chung celebrates Longchamp’s 20th anniversary.

PRINGLE OF SCOTLAND
A classically constructed campaign starring Sam Rollinson and Adrien Sahores. Pringle of Scotland captures the Fall season through beautiful portraits and monochromatic photography shot by Roe Ethridge.
