“Oh, no. I actually got married last month,” explained Sophia Webster, designer of the coveted “party on your feet” footwear when we asked her if her latest “Heartbreak Hotel” collection had any personal affiliation.
Rather, she explained that she looked to the banal existence of certain girls of L.A.: the “Paris Hiltons” and the “Nicole Richies” from the Simple Life era, and drummed up a collection of shoes with dangling pom poms and fur details. It was all very tongue-in-cheek, and Cher Horowitz (of Clueless fame) would certainly approve.
