Attention emerging Saudi designers, there is a “Saudi Fashion Revolution” underway. Led by Saudi masked fashion stylist and self-proclaimed fashion icon, Nahar, the project has been launched this month in collaboration with TKANH Events and with the support of Harvey Nichols Riyadh. The registration of up-and-coming Saudi designers is now open while designers are also invited to hashtag their photos on Instagram with #SFRBYNAHAR to get their work noticed.
Designers will be selected, mentored, and then ushered to Kuwait, which the organizers have rightfully targeted as one of the most interesting fashion markets in the region. Due to the small size of its homegrown industry players, it is currently stagnating and the influx of emerging Saudi designers will ideally stir both markets.
