Haifa Fahad’s Spring 2016 Collection Brews up a Storm

Hailing from Riyadh, the Saudi designer Haifa Fahad, behind her eponymous womenswear and menswear label, channels the raw and grit spirit of punk with this Spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection titled Storm, debuting exclusively today on Style.com/Arabia. Fahad’s contemporary offering ranges from acid wash denim separates and digital print turbulent sky patterned silhouettes to distressed leather garments coupled with chain embellishment and tailored crepe asymmetrical dresses that play on a stormy palette of gray, black, and white. Athleisure, in the form of racerback crop tops complement knee-grazing Bermuda shorts and high-neckline flowy dresses.

Brazen and provocative, the campaign adds an extra dose of edge to clothes that the designer defines as daring and dauntless. The images expose a rebellious young Bonnie and Clyde-style couple unwinding after a heist. Fahad explained to Style.com/Arabia, “This shoot came very naturally, as we wanted to capture and symbolize the new punk rages movement. Therefore, we had two amazing models that are visually strong and whose uncommon appearances don’t define their lifestyles.”
