A Modern Cinderella

You might have wondered what it feels like to be in Sarah Jessica Parker’s shoes (or in her closet)—well, the time has come.

As previously announced, the American actress and Sex and the City style icon has created a women’s shoe line, named after her initials, the SJP Collection, together with George Malkemus, President of Manolo Blahnik USA, which will exclusively launch at Nordstrom on February 28th.

According to the brand’s Twitter account, the shoes are manufactured in Tuscany, Italy, and will be soon accompanied by a range of bags and a trench. Parker revealed a total of 47 shoe models, which includes stilettos, such as T-bars and d’Orsay pumps, wedges, and flat sandals. All of the shoes are adorned with a signature grosgrain ribbon and come in various hues like cherry red, lollipop pink, olive green, navy blue, coral, mint, and gold.

“I’ve taken inspiration from things in my life such as the grosgrain ribbons I tied in my hair as a girl, to the flower accents from the Sex and the City wardrobe, to references to classic styles from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s,” Parker told British Vogue. “I’m a firm believer in quality and timelessness and have created this collection with the hopes that women will love wearing it for years to come.”

The launch at Nordstrom across the U.S.A. will be accompanied by meet-and-greet sessions with Sarah Jessica Parker. Prices start at US $195 (AED/SAR 715).
