Romeo, My Romeo

With the launch of the latest Burberry campaign, the fashion house founded in 1856 has injected itself with a shock of youthful vigor as electric as its new line of trenches. The inclusion of the delightfully cheeky ten-year-old, Romeo Beckham, in the Spring/Summer 2013 global ad campaign has created a thunderstorm of press for the brand. Beckham undeniably steals the limelight in ads that also feature Charlie France, Edie Campbell, and British Fashion Awards’ Model of the Year, Cara Delevingne—all shot by Mario Testino.

“We had such fun shooting the campaign and I think that comes through in the images which really reflect the upbeat spirit of the collection,” said Burberry Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey. While some critics have been on the fence about the introduction of Victoria and David Beckham’s young boy onto the fashion scene and others are reigniting the age debate, one can’t deny that Romeo—one of GQ Magazine’s 50 Most Stylish Men in Britain in 2011—is in his element.
