RIHANNA AND ADAM SELMAN
After styling Rihanna’s outrageous yet fashionable red carpet wardrobe and tour costumes for nearly two years, stylist and designer, Adam Selman, has decided to give a shot designing an eponymous line.
According to WWD, Selman will debut his line on September 5th during New York’s Spring/Summer 2014 ready-to-wear season and the collection is expected to be swimwear-inspired. Unsurprisingly, coming from Riri’s stylist, Selman said that his womenswear line would be “…sexy—it’s that fantasy woman but it’s also sporty.”
The designer also told WWD that he hopes to be picked up by a range of reputed concept stores and luxury boutiques, including Opening Ceremony, Barneys New York, and Net-A-Porter. That being said, it won’t be Adam Selman’s first retail experience. Selman already had a taste after heading the design collaboration with high-street brand, River Island, who joined forces with Rihanna for a capsule collection two seasons in a row.
