Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Reemami is joining forces with The cARTel to debut its new Fall 2014 capsule collection on September 3rd.
Fashion designer Reema Al Banna, whose previous collection, Unibrow, in collaboration with special needs artists was praised for its use of bold colors and graphic elements, once again pays homage to Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. This time, the Palestinian designer incorporated different shapes and a new color palette—a twist influenced by the cARTel’s particular aesthetics.
“The cARTel’s manifesto is about offering a platform to emerging designers so that their work can be presented to the discerning UAE fashion lovers,” Founder Shub Qureshi told Style.com/Arabia. “It’s been very exciting to partner with Reemami. Promoting local talent and inspiring them to create avant-garde pieces is very important to us.”
In line with the fashion concept store’s artistic sensibilities, Wednesday’s event promises to be a celebration of art, fashion, and music, with live performances as well as a fashion show.
