Reem Acra

The Lebanese designer went back to her roots for her Reem Acra Spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, and by that we mean way back. Acra once dabbled in interior design and at times, the floor and mid-thigh length dresses looked like they were made with leftover fabric from the set of One Thousand and One Nights. Indeed, this is a mighty colorful collection, rich with floral embroideries, tassel embellishments, and plenty of sheen.

Founder: Reem Acra

Owner: Reem Acra

Designer: Reem Acra

Year Established: 1999

Spring 2016 Inspiration: Beirut boho bazaar.

Star Pieces: The belts, which were apparently collected from trips to the Beirut bazaar.

The Middle Eastern Sale: Rest assured that by wearing any one glamorous piece from this collection—be it a floor-sweeping gown or a boho short dress—all eyes will be on you.

Drawbacks: Some of these looks looked too directly plucked out of Scheherazade’s wardrobe.
