Syrian designer Rami Al Ali brought his guests back to the Salon Pompadour in the Hotel Le Meurice to take in a beautiful blend of decorative Moorish artistry meets masquerade-inspired silhouettes. If it reads complicated on paper, Al Ali, in fact, delighted with looks that were timeless for their elegant simplicity. Brocade was highlighted on bustiers and gentle draping wrapped a model in a soft chrysalis of dove gray gazar. While Al Ali has sometimes struggled with his choice of color palette, here he nailed his hues, which included gold, taupe, coral, and a particularly satisfying royal blue.
