Here comes Peter Copping…

Peter Copping, who was appointed creative director of Oscar de la Renta just before the designer’s death late last year, is set to debut his first collection for the house next week. Earlier today the brand teased a video on Instagram that shows Copping sketching a look, presumably for the brand’s February 17 show, with the caption, “7 days before.” [Instagram]

Zara takes a stand against angora…

Zara’s parent company, Inditex, announced yesterday that it will no longer sell products made from angora wool, a material that comes from rabbit fur. The ban—which was pushed by animal-rights activist group PETA—goes into effect immediately and will span all of Inditex’s brands, including Zara, Massimo Dutti, and Bershka. [Refinery29]
