From Saint Laurent to Sonia Rykiel, designers enlisting celebrity offspring has proven to be a trend in recent campaigns. But leave it to Alber Elbaz to take this familial concept one step further, by featuring both the children and their parents in his new Lanvin ads.
The French fashion house, which celebrated its 125th anniversary last year, has replicated its classic mother-daughter logo with its own set of famous families. Iconic models Violetta Sanchez, Pat Cleveland, and Kirsten Owen star alongside their daughters Luz Godin, Anna Cleveland, and Billie Rose Owen in the womenswear images. Elbaz took a slightly less literal approach for the men, using brothers Callum and Haydn Rockall and DJ partners Josh Quinton and Andy Bradin—who, despite not being parents and children, each have ties of a different sort.
Lensed by Tim Walker, the campaign features each duo dressed entirely alike, from the Spring ’15 ensembles to the careful details of hair and makeup. (Kirsten and Billie Rose Owen’s similarities are especially impressive.) Here, a look at the campaign before it breaks in fashion magazines this March.
