Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony Spring 2016 ready-to-wear show had models falling for the collection—literally. Known for their theatrical runway presentations, designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon partnered with Justin Peck, a resident choreographer at the New York City Ballet, to stage a surprise performance during the show. This featured models purposely falling on the catwalk (reminiscent of Candice Swanepoel’s tumble during Givenchy). Lim and Leon also recently lent their design skills to create costumes for the upcoming New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion Gala, which will take place on September 30th.
