Balmain’s Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing, rang in the new year in Dubai and, true to form, he shared some Instagram pictures with his 886K followers (and counting).
Along with friend Mohammed Sultan Al Habtoor, Rousteing hosted a New Year’s Eve party on the beach of the One & Only Royal Mirage, setting the limelight on Dubai while marking the beginning of 2015.
Tala Yasseri, an event planner from the New York Issue event company, was flown in to help with the fashion festivities, while Dubai’s DJ Patchouli provided the music. A bonfire and candle-lit floors set the elegant Arabian setting as the VIP guests enjoyed mezzes and ice cream and photographed the fireworks from every angle. Later, the host and guests took to the shores for a photo shoot that went viral on social media.
Guests included Kendall Jenner; Gigi Hadid with her boyfriend, singer Cody Simpson; Chanel Iman; Devon Windsor; Shay Mitchell; Maria Carla Boscono; and Selena Gomez, who partied all night with Dubai-based Laili Mirza; Ceebo Shah; Mohammed al Borno; and Jessica Chudasma, making this fête one of Dubai’s most fashionable and Instagrammed events as of late.
