Elite Model Look 2013 Winners

Last week, at the Poly Theater in Shenzhen, China, Elite Model Look celebrated three decades of talent scouting, with the finals of its 2013 edition. Czech Republic model Eva Klimkova was declared as this year’s winner.

“It is a special year for Elite since we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Elite Model Look. Our contest is a worldwide reference in the modeling industry, having discovered many of the most unforgettable models of the last three decades, like Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bündchen, and Ming Xi, to name just a few,” stated Stefania Valenti, Chief Executive Officer of Elite World, in an interview with Style.com/Arabia.

Elite welcomed finalists from 54 selected countries, who competed in various runway challenges. The final standings were Eva Klimkova (Czech Republic), in first; Alexandra Tyga (Monaco), in second; and Dalma Baczay (Hungary) and Almina Estevão (Angola) who both shared third place. Along with modeling contracts, the girls walked away with a monetary prize of €150,000, €100,000, and €50,000, respectively.

This year’s edition marked the establishment of Elite World’s presence in China, and the company signed a long-term agreement with the Shenzhen Longhua New Disctrict Dalang Fashion Valley in an effort to raise the district into an international fashion platform via Elite’s events.

2013 was also the first time that the Elite Model Look contest included a model to represent the Middle East in the world finals.
