Noon By Noor

Sheikha Noor and Sheikha Haya Al Khalifa’s Pre-Fall 2015 offering motions that the Bahraini cousins have found a more balanced footing with an on-trend repertoire of dresses, separates, and outerwear.

A bold bateau striped dress and jacket, culottes, pinstriped pants, and a long, loosely fitted men’s single-breasted coat dusted with starry-like sequins at the hem denotes the cousins’ ode to modern menswear (the delicate, sheer tuxedo jacket showcasing tailored lines is the standout piece). The masculine lines and sober palette then evolve to feature peach floral prints floating amid a midnight blue backdrop. Necklines are conservative and feature elaborate embellishments resembling necklaces, while shirts feature collars that are tone-on-tone embellished and sometimes detachable. The delicate—and, at times, bulbous—decorations continue to take center stage, dressing up a fuchsia jogging ensemble or down the shoulders of a cobalt blue shift dress.

On closer inspection, the whole collection features several odes to the sport trend—be it via a drawstring waist, loose trousers paired with a suit jacket, or concave cutout sleeves. After several polarizing collections, this pre-fall collection confirms that the Bahraini cousins are building a brand for the jet-set woman keen to always dress on-trend, though never at the risk of shrinking her outer sparkle.
