Noon By Noor’s Resort 2015 Collection

A whiff of luxe paired with a retro attitude defines the new Noon by Noor Resort 2015 collection. Like previous collections (Fall 2014 and Spring 2014, for instance), designers Sheikhas Haya and Noor Al Khalifa were inspired by Bahraini culture—this time around, it was the Bahraini pearl—and produced a collection replete with prints.

“Bahraini pearls are renowned for their superior quality and exquisite luster, and up until the 1930s were considered more precious than diamonds, attracting famous jewelers such as Jacques Cartier to the country in search of the finest pearls,” the designers told Style.com/Arabia. “So naturally, we found this pursuit for excellence quite fitting as a point of reference for the collection. We wanted the pearls to be featured in a very subtle way so we placed them amongst the floral embellishments whilst silver and lavender gray fabrics are reminiscent of the pearl’s iridescence.”

Noon by Noor’s Resort 2015 collection features shift dresses and column gowns embellished with pearl-shaped embroidered plexi-applications, along with a touch of sportswear and outerwear such as a mac coat and a hooded parka, next to comfy looking Birkenstock-inspired sandals.

Noon by Noor will be showing its Spring 2015 collection this September at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York.
