Now in its 6th year, Nike’s We Run races encourage runners from around the world to test their limits and challenge their body and mind—from Prague to Mexico, Bangkok to Istanbul, and now Dubai.
As part of a global initiative hosted by Nike in 14 different cities across Europe, Latin America, and Asia, the We Run series aims to build a connected running community.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, Nike Middle East and its local distributor, Sun and Sand Sports, are organizing a 10K marathon race on December 19th.
The We Run Dubai race, set to begin at 7:30 am, will take place in Downtown Dubai and professional and aspiring athletes of all levels are welcome to participate—so if you’re looking to invest in fine fitness footwear, the time is now.
Leading up to the race day, applicants can receive personalized training and expert tips by joining Nike+, which brings together more than 20 million members from across the world.
A series of ongoing Nike+ Run Clubs (N+RC) will be held three times a week across Dubai to encourage runners to find inspiration and motivation from each other.
“One of our roles as the Sports Council is to promote the sports culture in Dubai,” said Dr. Ahmad Al Sharif, the Dubai Sports Council Secretary General. “We are very pleased to partner with Nike for We Run Dubai this year as it offers a fantastic opportunity for everyone in the region to include sports in their lifestyle and challenge themselves to become better athletes.”
Registration is open until December 6th for anyone over the age of 16 years. Visit www.nike.com/werundubai for more information.
