Sister Act: Decoding Sofia and Nicole Richie’s Style

Sisters Nicole and Sofia Richie may share the same last name, but when it comes to their sartorial style, there’s a noticeable contrast. Older sister Nicole Richie has come a long way since starring alongside Paris Hilton in their hit series, The Simple Life. The House of Harlow 1960 designer, star of television show Candidly Nicole, and philanthropist is known for her bohemian-glam aesthetic. The mother-of-two emits chic, yet carefree vibes through vibrant, floral print dresses; relaxed, streamlined silhouettes; and a plunging Valentino gown complete with ethnic details.

Meanwhile, up-and-coming model Sofia Richie can be found sporting an array of off-duty looks that include sweatshirt dresses, thigh-high boots, and oversized hoodies signed Vetements and Moschino. The littlest Richie often dons athleisure separates in the form of sports bras, mesh-paneled leggings, and bomber jackets, and completes her look with designer handbags from the likes of Chanel and Hermès. As for accessories, the generation Z model rocks a bevy of chokers, bandanas, and baseball caps.

While Nicole Richie’s style seriously differs from that of her little sister, the two share a common ground when it comes to statement coats. They’ve both stepped out in a striking, leopard print number (perhaps Sofia has been raiding her big sister’s closet). In the gallery above, we highlight the differences between Sofia and Nicole Richie’s style.
