Naeem Khan

The Indian-American designer presented a maximalist evening wear collection that took 600 people to make. Kaftans, ballgowns, sequined jumpsuits, and a handful of slinky dresses produced the Naeem Khan Spring 2016 ready-to-wear offering that many in this region will consider couture. A beautiful, bright palette of lemon yellow, poppy red, and lilac brought the ethnically regal collection to life.

Founder: Naeem Khan

Owner: Naeem Khan

Year Established: 2003

Designer: Naeem Khan

Spring 2016 Inspiration: Maximalist ethnic princess.

Star Pieces: The gold lace ball gown with short sleeves and red flower embroidery; the striped sequined jumpsuit; the lemon yellow sequined embellished kaftan; the green overlay with yellow flowers; the silver shimmy dress; the poppy red dress with asymmetrical neck ruffle; and the ball gown entirely made with silver mirrored paillettes.

The Middle Eastern Sale: The collection will provide society ladies with plenty of show-stopping eveningwear pieces and embellished modest looks.

Drawbacks: The finale ombré ball gown dresses were a reminder that sometimes (just a little bit) less is more.
