Tomorrow night at Artspace in DIFC, Mochi, the Dubai-based label renowned for its ethnically themed collections, will unveil its Uzbekistan collection.
Palestinian designer Ayah Tabari exclusively revealed to Style.com/Arabia that the collection will use classic fabrics, like denim, to keep it on trend. “There is definitely a strong reflection of the ‘70s era in a lot of the pieces as Uzbekistan embroidery is well known for its bright colors and big flower motifs.”
Tabari has garnered unprecedented success with her homegrown label. Featured on It models Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid, Mochi was picked up by international e-tailer ASOS in February this year.
