Missoni’s Spring ’15 collection was all about joy, lightness, and the heat of summer, and the new ad campaign boasts a similar vibe. Inspired by French artist Paul Jacoulet’s woodcut prints, Missoni enlisted Viviane Sassen to shoot Amanda Murphy in Spring’s billowing chiffon dresses against graphic, sherbet-colored backgrounds. “The creative partnership I have established with Viviane Sassen and Mathias Augustyniak of the M/M (Paris) studio has continued into this season and has defined the image and mood of our campaigns,” Angela Missoni told Style.com. “Viviane is a genius of color: She gave the Missoni woman and man an astral, sci-fi quality that is at the same time sensual and exotic.” Missoni also tapped Jason Last and Jaime Rubiano to shoot a video for the campaign, which features blown-up florals and choppy, surreal film effects.
