Mochi Launches its Uzbekistan Collection

The Middle East’s most ethnically-inspired fashion label, Mochi, debuted its sixth collection on May 6th at DIFC’s Art Space.

Turning her attention towards Central Asia, the founder and designer of Mochi, Ayah Tabari, presented her hand-embroidered Uzbekistan collection to friends and die-hard fans of the brand, such as Rosemin Manji, Narimane Kurdi, Natalia Shustova, Dana Hourani, Kat Lebrasse, and Zahra Lyla.

Following the Thailand, Hungary, Palestine, Jaipur, and Mini Mochi collections, here, Tabari once again celebrated traditional craftsmanship. She paid homage to the landlocked country by incorporating scenic motifs like sun and moon disks; tulip, carnation, and iris flowers; and birds on versatile dresses and separates including culottes, midi skirts, sleeveless vests, and delightful blouses. The denim and 70s mood of the collection alluded to the bohemian trend of the season.

Mochi’s fun and feminine ensembles are set to become this summer’s signature pieces. It’s time to join the Uzbekistan clan.
