McQ to Set Foot in Dubai

On February 14th (Valentine’s Day), McQ by Alexander McQueen, the lower-priced second line of the iconic British label, will open its first stand-alone store in the region, at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates.

Created by the late Lee Alexander McQueen in 2005, McQ is currently under the creative direction of Sarah Burton. The brand’s key-looks represent McQueen’s signature style, with a nod to his recurring design elements, including his strict uniform-resembling cuts; his love for mixing bold patterns, such as tartan, houndstooth, and kaleidoscope prints; and his penchant for somber hues.

Less extravagant than the main line, McQ includes functional looks for both men and women. The prices range from US $160-$1,600 (AED/SAR 585-5,875).
