Mario Testino to Oversee Furla’s Artistic Image


Furla has appointed world-renowned photographer Mario Testino to oversee its artistic image for the next two seasons, starting with the upcoming Spring 2015 campaign that will debut early next year.

As part of this creative overhaul, Testino and his agency Mario Testino + will outline and develop a comprehensive artistic direction for the Italian leather goods house. This will include cohesive window displays, advertising campaign images, a catalogue, and videos for the stores as well as for Furla’s website and social media platforms.

The new collaboration aims to reinforce Furla’s positioning as a leading premium accessories and lifestyle brand and will focus on the brand’s colorful and vibrant Italian DNA. Emphasis will be put on Furla’s hero pieces, such as the Candy bags, a line of new products, as well as quality and innovation.

Testino is one of the world’s most influential photographers, whose work has been featured across the globe and appears regularly in glossy magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, and GQ.

His portfolio includes ad campaigns for celebrated fashion houses such as Burberry, Gucci, and Chanel. He has also published several books and exhibited his photos in the most prominent museums around the world, from Milan, to Amsterdam, Tokyo, and New York.
