The clothes were full of hippie grunge spirit and heavy with romance—gold lace, embroidered flowers and vines, silk fringe, frothy pink tulle—but Marchesa’s 10-year anniversary is not to be overlooked. The label has come a long way since its beginning in a studio on Archer Street (“a Soho afterthought frequented by hookers and drug dealers”). Style.com’s Tim Blanks was there to review the Spring ’15 show:
