The 3-day blogger event Firenze4Ever, run by Florence-based luxury store LuisaViaRoma, kicks off its 9th edition next week from June 15-18 at the LuisaViaRoma store. This season, LuisaViaRoma has chosen Brazil (presumably in honor of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which begins today) as a guiding thread.
The bi-annual event started back in June 2010 in order to encourage interaction between fashion brands and bloggers, and ever since, it has taken place at the beginning of each new fashion season, just before Florence’s Pitti Immagine.
This season, a range of selected fashion bloggers, including Australian blogger Lee Oliveira and Chinese blogger Peter Xu, will partake in Carioca-themed fashion shoots around Florence, styled with the new Fall/Winter 2014-2015 collections that are available in store.
In addition, the Brazilian textile and apparel association Abit (Associação Brasileira de Indústria Têxtil e de Confecção) will introduce 20 selected Brazilian designers—including Barbara Casasola, Isolda and Pedro Lourenço, among others—who will present their collections to invited guests during the 3-day event. And because we can’t get tropical enough this summer, LuisaViaRoma will also launch a Brazil capsule collection designed by shoe designer and art collector Ernesto Esposito, which will be available for purchase online.
