The new Ms. Moss

Lottie Moss, the younger half-sister of the inimitable Kate Moss, made her runway debut today in Paris at the Sonia Rykiel show. Though this is her first catwalk appearance, Lottie is no stranger to the modeling industry, having already appeared in a Calvin Klein campaign and several editorials. If her surname is any indication, you can bet we’ll be seeing a lot more of this young Brit. [Instagram]

Stella McCartney is faux real

Stella McCartney is continuing her crusade against using real fur by sewing labels reading “Fur-Free Fur” to the outside of her latest collection. McCartney said the labels will appear on the back of the neck or on the sleeve of an item and will ensure that everyone knows the furry garment is a genuine fake. [Telegraph]

Paris invests in its fashion future

Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo has announced that the city plans to invest 60 million euros in its fashion industry within the next five years. Hidalgo explained that some of the money would be used to finance fashion schools, adding, “By mobilizing this considerable sum, we will give ourselves the means to consolidate our position as the global capital of fashion.” [WWD]

Three’s a crowd

It Brits and veritable best friends Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, and Georgia May Jagger cover the latest edition of British Vogue. While Delevingne and Jagger have fronted the magazine before, this marks Waterhouse’s first time on the glossy. Inside, the trio reflect on their first meeting and their memories together. Modeling keeps an open mind

The lack of diversity—from race to age to body weight—in the modeling industry has been an issue for quite some time, though it seems times might be changing. Today, many big-name models are over the age of 30, new faces on the catwalk represent a diverse range of races, and fuller-figured models are booking mainstream campaigns. The industry still has a ways to go, but these are steps in the right direction. [Yahoo Style]
