New modeling laws come to France…
Today the French government officially passed a law that will enforce a ban on the use of excessively thin models. In accordance with the law, models must maintain a healthy Body Mass Index of at least 18 before they are booked for a job, and must be able to prove their BMI via medical certificate. [Elle]

Master milliner Philip Treacy has collaborated with MAC Cosmetics on a recent campaign and collection. Treacy created three hats that highlight different areas of the face, and then developed corresponding MAC products to showcase those regions. Sotheby’s is auctioning 150 haute couture pieces—both garments and accessories—from the private collection of Didier Ludot this summer.
