Happy Birthday, Lanvin!

Among other reasons, Lanvin’s Creative Director, Alber Elbaz, is reputed for his one-of-a-kind celebrations—take, for example, his Que Sera, Sera performance when he celebrated his 10th collection for the brand (the Fall 2012 collection). And in celebration of Lanvin’s 125th anniversary, Elbaz decided to launch a special web initiative on Lanvin.com and through the hashtag #Lanvin125 on social media.

On Lanvin’s official website, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter accounts, an interactive timeline is displayed that includes recent events and major milestones in the brand’s history, along with exclusive pictures, videos, drawings, watercolor paintings, and pictures of archived objects. Lanvin also announced that it will launch a new website, entitled Histoire Lanvin, at the beginning of February, which will reveal more never-seen-before works, branded products, and archived video footage by Jeanne Lanvin, the company’s iconic founder.

Additionally, the French brand also customized its former logo, originally designed by fashion illustrator Paul Iribe, with the number ‘125’, which pictures mother and child, Jeanne and Marguerite Lanvin.
