VIP guests and fashion industry colleagues got more than just a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with Lanvin’s creative director Alber Elbaz last week. They were also treated to a first look of a capsule collection created just for our region along with a re-show of 36 of the outfits showcased during Fall 2015 Paris Fashion Week, which Style.com/Arabia described as, “a journey through the Atlas Mountains to rediscover romance: Berber style revisited with Elbaz’s luxury-infused touch.”

The five looks, consisting of six pieces specifically curated for the Middle East, were inspired by Elbaz’s “Morocco” collection. The fabric of a poppy red asymmetrical off-the-shoulder dress fell in loose waves while a floor-grazing gown with balloon sleeves shimmered in burnt orange and dark gold; a sleeveless black jumpsuit featured generous red tassels that decorated the bodice; a sharp black skirt suit with large embroidered white sequined flowers made for a beautiful monochromatic effect; and a mid-thigh sheer dress was embroidered with an array of gold foliage and flowers.
