Lady Gaga Wears Furne Amato and Ezra Santos

Lady Gaga created quite the commotion while in Dubai recently to perform at the Meydan Racecourse.

Following her artRAVE concert on September 10th, the performer took to her Instagram account (where she has over 4.5 m followers) to share some pictures of her time in Dubai—which included an outing on a desert safari where she got a henna tattoo that read “monster.”

“We ate and enjoyed hookah in the middle of the desert. The women gave us henna and we rode camels in the moonlight,” she wrote on her Instagram.

For her trip to the dunes, Gaga chose a kaftan dress by Dubai-based Filipino designer, Furne Amato (who is set to return to Fashion Forward season 4).
The Amato haute couture “Midnight Butterfly” design, was a deep blue, silk chiffon dress, embellished with Swarovski crystals.

“Lady Gaga is the embodiment of what Amato stands for. Both are not afraid of the diktats of fashion,” Amato told Style.com/Arabia. “She is fearless, bold, and has always been one of a kind—adjectives that can be used to describe an Amato couture dress as well.”

After jetting off from the UAE, Gaga was snapped in Brussels wearing a couture confection by Ezra Santos, another Dubai-based Filipino couturier and Fashion Forward alumnus. The deep-plunging, embroidered, cobalt-blue evening gown is from the designer’s Fall 2014 collection.
