Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality TV starlet, Kim Kardashian, and infamous American rapper Kanye West have tied the knot, finally.
Kardashian and West, who have made countless headlines over the past year—their Vogue cover being their latest controversial achievement—celebrated their wedding with a private ceremony at the 16th-century Fort di Belvedere castle in Florence, Italy on Saturday, May 24th.
Prior to the wedding, Valentino, along with former American Vogue Editor-at-Large, André Leon Talley, hosted a brunch for the couple at the Valentino château outside of Paris. This was followed by a lavish pre-wedding dinner at the Château de Versailles, reported to be an 18th century themed, Marie-Antoinette worthy event with entertainment that included a trio of songs performed live by Lana del Rey.
On the wedding day, as reported by CNN, Kardashian was walked down the aisle accompanied by her stepfather, American Olympian Bruce Jenner, while Andrea Bocelli sang Con te Partiró. Kardashian wore a custom-made Givenchy haute couture dress by Riccardo Tisci, while West opted for a classic black tailored suit.
This marriage is West’s first, while Kardashian has already tied (and subsequently untied) the knot twice before. The couple got engaged in October 2013, shortly after Kardashian gave birth to their daughter, North West. According to reports, the newlyweds could earn up to US $21 million (AED/SAR 77 million), due to sponsorship and the exclusive sale of their wedding pictures.
