Pop singer Katy Perry provided the evening’s entertainment at the annual Dubai Airshow private gala dinner, which took place on Tuesday at Atlantis the Palm. The singer took to the stage wearing a custom-made Amato star-embellished, purple bodysuit with an open-front skirt designed by Furne One. This is not the first time that the Filipino Dubai-based couturier has dressed the pop singer; he also created a number of stage costumes for Perry’s “California Dreams” world tour.
During her energetic live performance, which included laser lights, fireworks, and the famous dancing sharks from last year’s Super Bowl act, the star (recently named the highest-paid female singer in the world by Forbes) performed her chart-topping hits, including Roar, I Kissed a Girl, and Firework. The concert also celebrated the launch of a new project, MusicDXB, by the Dubai International Airport, which will feature live pop-up performances at the airport’s terminals.
