Hogan and Katie Grand—it’s a lasting love story, one could say. The stylist and editor of Love magazine and the Milan-based leather goods and footwear brand have just launched their third capsule collection, accompanied by a new magazine edition, Gang by Hogan.
For this Spring 2014 season, the Gang collection within the Katie Grand Loves Hogan collaboration has expanded, as Grand added clothing to her portfolio for the first time. She designed two leather jackets—boyfriend for a masculine fit and shrunk with a cropped cut—set to match footwear from the previous season, such as zebra-striped slippers, heeled high-top sneakers, glossy lace-up shoes, and purses and phone cases. Also new this season are urban duffle and bowling bags, as well as loafers and sling-back pumps, in primary colors and polka dot patterns.
Underlining the look of the new collection is Gang, the large-format magazine featuring an editorial by photographer Daniel Jackson, styled by Katie Grand herself, and modeled by some of the best in the business, including icons like Linda Evangelista and Stephanie Seymour, next to models-of-the-moment, Georgia May Jagger, Joan Smalls, and Liu Wen.
“My collaboration with Hogan has always been about stripping things back to the bare essentials, creating products that are fun but ultimately useful,” noted Grand. “That approach is still central: no extraneous frippery, no overdressing—just slick, sexy, straight-to-the-point practicality.”
The collection will be available at Hogan boutiques worldwide, from late January 2014, including Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, and the brand’s boutiques in Lebanon and Kuwait.
