Nine years ago, a long-limbed American girl from St. Louis, Missouri, named Karlie Kloss, made her runway debut when she walked the Calvin Klein Spring 2009 ready-to-wear show. Once a lanky teenager, the charming 24-year-old model now exudes confidence from the moment she steps out onto the catwalk. Kloss has strutted her way to the top by modeling for renowned fashion houses including Chanel, Dior, and Prada. Known as “The Panther,” Kloss boasts a stealthy stride that’s considered to be one of the most powerful runway walks of all time.
Aside from fronting campaigns and magazine covers, the former Victoria’s Secret angel is also an entrepreneur, humanitarian, social media sensation (5.1 million Instagram followers and counting), and YouTube star. Among her endeavors is a non-profit organization called Kode with Klossy—a platform that equips young girls with coding skills for careers in tech. Her philanthropic initiatives include creating gluten-free, baked treats named Klossies that raise money for charities to provide meals for those in need.
