The second edition of La Mode a Beyrouth is set to kick off in Lebanon tomorrow evening. Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, Lebanon’s official fashion week showcases the collections of up-and-coming Lebanese designers and provides a platform for the country’s emerging talent in the form of the Beirut Young Fashion Designer’s Competition (BYFDC).
Featuring regional names as well as homegrown designers, the event will host Style.com/Arabia – DDFC Fashion Prize winner Hussein Bazaza, along with Abed Mahfouz, Shady ZeinEldine, and more. The event will also feature fashion workshops and lectures while one day will be dedicated to BYFDC, where 25 hopefuls from five Lebanese universities will compete for the winning title.
La Mode a Beyrouth will open on April 19th and run until April 23rd at Forum de Beyrouth. For more information, visit www.lmabfashionweek.com/lebanon and follow Instagram.com/stylearabia for live coverage from the shows.
