Halston Heritage

Halston Heritage, the diffusion line of the sixties’ brand Halston, continues to echo the nostalgic essence of the iconic label’s codes. Pulled from the sketches’ archives, this season’s collection brings back jet-setting seventies glamour in the form of V-neck plunges, wide-legged jumpsuits, and halter dresses in a pastel color palette of seafoam, tangerine, and orchid.

Founder: Roy Halston Frowick, 1968

Owner: Hilco Consumer Capital

Designer: Marie Mazelis

Year Established: 2009

Spring 2016 Inspiration: Robert Polidori’s photographs of Havana and a vintage Halston orchid print scarf.

Star Pieces: A keyhole wide-legged, white jumpsuit; an accordion-pleated, seafoam chiffon halter dress; and a chocolate suede, strapless dress.

The Middle Eastern Sale: The collection is filled with great pieces to pack for glamorous destinations.

Drawbacks: The embellished mini coral dresses seem more fitting for a stage dancer and the white suit with sequined pants screams Saturday Night Fever—a look literally from the seventies.
