This is What Graff’s Largest Yellow Diamond Looks Like

graff-unveils-golden-empress-132-carat-fancy-intense-yellow-diamond-1For five decades, London-based jewelry house Graff has been sourcing, cutting, and polishing the rarest, record-breaking diamonds the world has ever laid eyes on—now meet the Golden Empress, the largest fancy intense yellow diamond.

Discovered at the Letšeng mine in the African Kingdom of Lesotho, the Golden Empress is an intense fancy yellow, cushion-cut diamond, which weighs a whopping 132.55 carats and is set on a necklace that’s adorned with 31 yellow diamonds—a jewelry piece that would make any bride’s dreams come true. With this much eye-blinding bling, you wouldn’t want to step outside your house without being surrounded by at least five bodyguards.

And if one massive diamond isn’t enough, you’ll be happy to know that the rough of this head-spinning, honey-hued gem also produced eight special stones, which include six pear-cut diamonds, with the largest weighing at 21.34 carats, and two brilliant-cut round stones. Just imagine, a set of earrings to go with this mesmerizing piece.
